In MARIANO HERVAS, S.A. We seek the satisfaction of our customers, providing them with the products they require and with the quality defined in our company after years of experience. Sustainable development is our philosophy, being wood, as a natural resource, the raw material par excellence that ensures the quality of the products we manufacture. For this reason, we are committed to and guarantee the traceability of the raw materials purchased, encouraging the consumption of products from forests with sustainable forest management.
We use our best efforts to prevent the trade and purchase of illegally harvested timber, harvested in violation of traditional and civil rights, harvested in forests whose high conservation values are threatened by management activities, harvested in forests that are being converted to plantations or non-forest uses, as well as wood from forests with genetically modified trees.
The global responsibility and authority regarding the Chain of Custody implemented in MARIANO HERVAS, S.A. falls on JAVIER HERVAS CUEVAS, as manager of this company.
Respect for the natural environment makes MARIANO HERVAS, S.A. prevention of contamination and compliance with the requirements, both legal and assumed by the company, applicable to the products manufactured and to the good management of the company are promoted. To this end, the personnel who carry out the activities in the company’s centers are motivated and made aware of the values and commitments of this quality and environment policy.
Likewise, MARIANO HERVAS, S.A., assumes the commitment to comply with the social and safety commitments at work based on the ILO Declaration. That is: free association and election of labor representatives, not making use of forced labor, not hiring workers below the minimum legal age, committing to equal opportunities and treatment of workers and monitoring and controlling that working conditions do not endanger the safety or health of their workers. In all cases, MARIANO HERVÁS, S.A., complies with Spanish labor legislation, endorsed by inspections by the competent authority, within the framework of European legislation.
On the other hand, MARIANO HERVÁS, S.A. maintains its strong commitment against:
- Illegal logging or trade of illegal timber or forest products.
- Violation of traditional and human rights in forestry operations.
- Destruction of high conservation values in forestry operations.
- Significant conversion of forests into plantations or non-forest uses.
- Introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations.
- Violation of any of the fundamental ILO Conventions as defined in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.”
The development of our management is carried out with the principle of continuous improvement, for which the permanent analysis of information and “feedback” from customers are essential pillars for the company.
For the correct management and recognition of third parties, at MARIANO HERVAS, S.A. We have implemented management systems according to international standards integrated into the company’s daily activities.
