MH Parquets takes part in the new sustainable PEFC Spain showroom inaugurated in Madrid
On March 5th, within the framework of Madrid Design Festival, PEFC Spain officially inaugurated its new collaborative space in the Chamberí district of Madrid. Designed as a showroom for sustainable forestry, the space demonstrates how contemporary design, interior architecture and responsible resource management can come together in a single project.
Among the companies involved in the project is MH Parquets, responsible for supplying and installing the wooden flooring throughout the office. The flooring used in the space is 100% PEFC-certified, ensuring full traceability of the wood from forest origin to final installation.

A project conceived as a certified PEFC project from the start
Unlike many conventional office renovations, the new PEFC Spain space was conceived from the outset as a PEFC Certified Project. This means that all materials used in the construction come from companies holding Chain of Custody certification, guaranteeing the legality, traceability and environmental responsibility of the materials used.
The project was designed by the architecture studio martínmaján, combining contemporary design with responsible use of wood and visibility for companies committed to sustainable forest management.

Wood as a central design element
The office has been designed as a workspace that prioritizes functionality, well-being and sustainability. The presence of certified wood in floors, wall claddings and furniture creates a warm, durable and comfortable environment.
The wooden flooring supplied by MH Parquets plays a key role in the project. Its installation reinforces the core idea of the showroom: demonstrating that construction and interior design can rely on sustainably sourced materials without compromising aesthetics or technical performance.
MH Parquets has a long tradition in the wood flooring industry. Founded in the 1960s in Sigüenza (Spain), the company has become a leading manufacturer of parquet and wooden surfaces, combining industrial innovation with craftsmanship and a strong commitment to sustainable forest management.
A meeting point for the forestry sector
The inauguration event gathered representatives from the forestry sector, public administration, design professionals and partner companies. Participants included representatives from PEFC Spain, forestry organizations, universities and professional institutions linked to the sector.
The new space is intended to function as a meeting point for companies and professionals committed to sustainability, as well as a permanent showroom showcasing certified materials and sustainable construction solutions.
A benchmark for responsible construction
This project demonstrates that it is possible to create modern, functional and aesthetically refined workspaces using materials sourced from sustainably managed forests.
The collaboration between companies specialized in wood, design and construction has resulted in a space that works not only as an office but also as a showcase of best practices in sustainable interior architecture.

For MH Parquets, taking part in this initiative reinforces its long-standing commitment to sustainability, innovation and the responsible use of wood in architectural and interior design projects.
